I am an Advanced Practice Nurse who is board-certified in three areas.

I treat a range of psychiatric conditions including: Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Panic Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder and Insomnia. I am especially interested in both pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic methods of treating Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
Philosophy
A former competitive figure skater and coach, I work with individuals to manage performance anxiety and help them not only to meet, but to exceed their potential. Everyone from elite athletes to parents, students, CEOs, and new graduates can benefit from mental-skills training. The brain is a muscle, and like any other, can be trained to perform predictably and reliably regardless of whether you're working on your long program or your approach to parenting during the Coronavirus Pandemic. Developing resilience is essential! Start by cultivating an awareness of who you are and what matters to you most. Identify old patterns of behavior that once served you well, but now stand in your way. Change those patterns! The choice is yours.
I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Insight-Oriented Psychotherapy, but ultimately, I tailor my approach to you. Most of all, I LISTEN.
I believe in creating a safe, non-judgmental space, and I often think about the image of a mirror. My job is to help you to look at--and to truly see--things you might not see on your own or might not want to look at. It's hard work, but together, we can accomplish amazing things.
